Taking memory to the next level: A workshop in personal narratives and visual stories/collage

What defines you?

Memory.....Journey....Path.....Choice......Awareness......Image

Experience an afternoon of personal exploration of our own stories and history through a short, guided  narrative writing experience that culminates in the creation of a collage self-portrait and visual story of your own. This workshop, inspired by “Face to Face”  artist Beverly McIver's powerful and poignant visual story, comes alive in the current BMoCA exhibit.  This workshop promises to be an intriguing afternoon where you can express individual themes and incorporate life stories with experienced artist facilitators.

Absolutely no artistic talent or previous writing or collage experience is necessary.  You'll be encouraged to find your own authentic voice and unleash your creative spirit. And, you'll have fun!

Your journey will be guided by two phenomenal facilitators, memoirist-writer, Kay Clark-Uhles and collagist Annie Russell. Kay is an experienced creative writer and leads workshops in reflective  and memory writing. Annie Russell is a collagist who has reinvented her life many times and has guided hundreds of others on their journey.

Start the afternoon at 12:30 at BMoCA where you will be guided through the Beverly McIver exhibit and on to an afternoon of playfulness, interconnectedness and memory gathering. Delicious refreshments included.
